report written by captain Wright: After too long in hibernation the boys of the RBCS hockey 1XI were ready once more to brave the elements that hockey offered. The Stade de Sonning was once again ready to hold the best hockey players of RBCS in a game that was too be sweet revenge. As per usual it didn’t take long for a RBCS goal to be scored with an inspiring celebration in reaction. Once again scoring was to become a common occurrence in this game.

Exceptional play was seen from young star Marius Martin who was also MoM. At points RBCS looked bored shown by Shaheel Hassan’s shot at the RBCS goal which keeper Jack Griffin only just saved. Other memorable moments included a Dom Wright bullet from the top of the D that hit the crossbar, Mr Wright described this as ‘truly annoying’. However another inspiring performance was delivered by the gentlemen that make up the RBCS hockey 1XI. A performance fueled by genuine enjoyment and exceptional levels of athletic ability throughout the match.

A truly deserved 6-0 win. We look forward to our biggest match of the season on the 27th of March against rivals Shiplake. This will be the last match for many of the team and therefore will be an emotional affair. ?
