A defensive unit excellently marshalled by player-of-the-match Henry Mendelssohn looked unlikely to concede both in open play and at set pieces, where there was much improved organisation and commitment. In possession, Blue Coat caused constant problems for the Wellington back line. Incisive through balls from Alfie and Joe created numerous opportunities, as did overlapping runs from Jaime and direct passing by Tom, and both Henrys at the back. Joe and Ryan continued their excellent scoring form, Henry Mendo grabbed a penalty and Charlie Smith completed a lovely team move to complete the scoring. Blue Coat progress to the last 32 for the third time. Their reward is a trip to Stockport Grammar School who beat last year''s runner-up, Rossall, 5-0.
