RBCS U15B vs Magdalen College School (33-15)

RBCS U15B secured a hard-fought 33-15 victory over Magdalen College School in a dramatic match played under clear skies in a beautiful setting. Although the team started slowly, failing to score until late in the first half, once we broke through, momentum shifted decisively in our favour. By the end of the first half, RBCS had established a strong lead.

The second half saw MCS fight back with tries down the wing, but RBCS regrouped and finished strongly, adding crucial points to secure the win. Try scorers included Matt Tsoi, who delivered a superb hat-trick, and Jake Muskett, who crossed the line twice. Daniel Potter contributed significantly with the boot, successfully converting four out of five attempts.

Man of the Match honours deservedly went to Matt Tsoi for his outstanding attacking display. Special mention also goes to Oscar in full-back, whose many try-saving tackles kept the opposition at bay, ensuring MCS couldn’t close the gap.

Strong running from Arthur B, Matthew T, Jake M, Alex L, and Oscar Z helped drive the team forward, but the match also highlighted areas for improvement. Bad habits, such as carrying the ball with one hand and questioning the referee’s decisions, need to be addressed. Despite these, the boys showed great determination, stepping up when it mattered most.

This was a solid performance overall, leaving the team in high spirits. With a week to focus on improving communication and discipline, RBCS will be ready for the challenges ahead. A great win and a valuable step forward!
