Blue Coat were back to their best in this ISFA National Shield 1/4 final. Yet another long away trip, but Blue Coat soon found their rhythm and took a deserved early lead when Alfie excellently converted a superb team move which started with Dan in goal. Patient in possession, Blue Coat built carefully from the back and attacked regularly down the flanks through Tom D and Henry J. Alfie converted a second from another well worked move and then turned provider when his low driven cross was turned in by a Canford defender. The hosts were no pushovers and competed physically, with Dan making a crucial save at 3-0. Blue Coat dominated possession however and Alfie rounded off his hat-trick with a well struck free kick. 3 wins in 7 days for the XI and they team advance to the school's first ever football national semi-final.
