Whilst the score line looks like a comprehensive loss, which it was in the end, a 14-7 half-time score was more reflective of the balance in the game where both sides made errors but ST G, just a few less. A failure to respond to referee’s demands of staying onside in the midfield, in combination with a slightly unlucky yellow card gave St G lots of field position in the second half which they duly exploited as RBC fell off too many tackles in the closing stages as St G ran up the score line. A disappointing afternoon after the huge progress of the Bishop’s game.
