RBC U15A 14 - 0 St Benedict's

Scorers: Tries Polat (2) Conv Fearn (2)

PoTM Jamie Llamares some thumping tackles and taking the ball hard to the line gave Jamie the award despite some excellent performances from his team mates in a closely contested competition.

An excellent team defensive performance kept St Benedict's at bay to see the U15s record an excellent victory which takes the team into the last eight teams of the National Plate competition.

Unsurprisingly, having not played for a month, there were aspects of rustiness in the attack and around the ruck that developed as the game went on, but both tries came in similar circumstances where the forwards tied in the majority of the defence with some strong driving play and when the ball was spread to Esat, he proved himself to be too powerful for the Benedict's defenders to crash over for two tries. Other strong performances came from Eddie Nieland, Laurence Walker and Paddy Weisner, but Will Benjamin, playing up for the first time this year, had an impressive half to stake a claim for a spot in the team for the next round.
