Match Report
Reading Blue Coat School 1st XI vs  Leighton Park School
On: Wednesday, 18 Sep 2019
Venue: Away

A fantastic start for the girls hockey team. The match against Leighton Park started off a little shaky with the girls finding their feet as this was the first match they had played together, but with the great leadership of Pippi Heath and the coaching from the sidelines from Mrs Dance and Miss Thompson the girls were soon in to full stride.

Mollie Edgar carried on where she left off last year as a demon defender blocking the Leighton Park girls from their attacking area and the addition of Lucy Dawson to help her out was a great combination. Pippi Heath and Billie Moore used their skills to great affect in midfield, both scoring goals. The team played exceptionally well and to beat Leighton Park 3-1 having drew with them in the final last year was a great achievement. Things are looking hopeful for this season, well done girls!

Player of the match - was a well deserved Mollie Edgar.
