A closer match than the score would indicate, with the main difference between the two teams was determination and belief! The mighty Bs started strongly (for a change) with a combination of repeated pick and go phases before utilising the backs and spreading the play again. There were many excellent performances: Louis' very reliable kicking and the forwards dominating the scrums and supporting each other with superb little offloads as we pushed St Georges back. Hence six of our tries came from within the pack. Our tackling, especially in the backs was much improved and both Harry and Jacob put in superb performances on the wings, not just scoring, but more importantly managing the threat from the oppositions wingers. The best example of this was a huge try saving tackle, during the last play, when St George's strongest player broke through and Jacob chased back and tackled him just short of our try line. Jake, as full back, not just cleanly caught the majority of St George's kicks but then went on long darting runs to regain most of the territory. The ball handling, especially given the wet conditions, by Alex, Ethan and Bertie was reliable, spreading the ball quickly whilst still running forward committing the opposition's defence.

An excellent performance, which they managed, organised and motivated themselves.
