4th team match report by guest reporter Josh Maier.
The game against Cokethorpe proved to be a challenging one as the teams were quite even in ability and the weather conditions were tough. Blue Coat managed to go one up early on with a goal from Tom Breedon off a great free kick from Will Stam. After playing back and forth for most of the first half the opposition managed to score a goal. The game was still close at half time being at a score of 1-1 and it was all still to play for. The second half was just as even as the first half. After the opposition scored the first goal in the second half, the Bluecoat team kept their heads up scoring two goals in return. Both of the great goals chipped the keeper and the goal scorers were Will Stam and Maddie Robertson. The score was kept at 3-2 for most of the second half with great defence by Isaac Morris and Jack Williams. Joel Snelling made some excellent saves to really keep Blue Coat in the game. In the last 5 minutes the opposition managed to score a lucky goal by hitting the crossbar which then bounced back into the player, going into the goal. Overall the game was evenly matched and an entertaining game to watch. The man of the match was Joel Snelling.
