Venue: Away

Won: 24 - 10

Try Scorers: James Davis x 2, George Malaperiman, Ollie Paice

Conversions: Louis Lancaster x 2

Man of the match: Matthew Allen

What a difference a week makes..... The mighty B's started strongly and were rewarded with an early try by James Davis, which Louis confidently converted. We were denied a second try after a penetrating run by Jacob Issacs, supported by James, which was spilled over the line. We kept up the pressure and George Malaperiman quickly got to a loose ball to score our second try. This was a much more difficult conversion, but again Louis was successful. James continued to show why he should be playing with the A team (which he did for the second half of the match) with another determined run and try. Winning 19-0, the mighty Bs became slightly careless and we lost some our discipline in the rucks and our shape in the backs which presented Shiplake with opportunities. Matthew Allen, man of the match, powered forward a number of times, with one drive advancing half the length of the pitch! Shiplake made the mighty B's pay for our lack of organisation with a try using an overlap to make the half time score: 19-5.

We started the second half with improved focus and substitute Ethan Morgan made his presence felt by organising the backs in lieu of James Davis. Kyle Shiels, even carrying an injury, took every opportunity to go forward with the ball and Ben Phillips nearly scored with a huge run from our own half, supported by Fergus Jones, which was only stopped a few metres short of the try line. After many successful phases by the forwards, Ollie Paice scored our final try. There were many strong performances: Jacob Issacs' continued to test the opposition winger and, more importantly, made at least three potential try saving tackles. A very committed effort by all the team and a well deserved win.
