Match Report
Reading Blue Coat School Boys-U13B vs  Cokethorpe Tournament
On: Thursday, 06 Dec 2018
Venue: Away

As expected, the Cokethorpe tournament was a tough test for the B side. But playing against strong A teams was a good learning curve for the boys who have been successful so far this season.

We put up good performances against KES and Royal Latin, losing 2-0 both times but showing great guts to defend well coming up against strong athletes. A slightly less impressive performance VS Lord William lead to a 4-0 loss, however they did go on to reach the Cup Final.

The last match VS Burford was the highlight, 2-0 down at half time and staring down the barrell of a 4th defeat we mustered a sterling come back through good aggressive ball carrying and ball control. Louis Lancaster picked and went right on the line to score before Paddy Norton finished a brilliant team move over multiple phases. We made it to the try again but just couldn't add the finishing touch in the dying moments for the win.

We hope the day of rugby has opened some eyes to the areas of improvement needed to become established A team players, and the guttsy performances carry the momentum into the last match on saturday.
