Venue: at Home

RBCS 6th XI 2 - 1 RBCS 7th XI

Scorers: Rowan Sinclair & Theo Petrault

The 6th XI narrowly overcame a resilient and combative 7th XI side who were determined to show that there wasn't much difference between the sides but a 59th minute winner from Theo Petrault ensured the 6ths took the spoils and finished the league in first place before the play-offs.

Celebrity mention - Jack Griffin, matched the physicality of the 7ths in midfield and distributed the ball to the wide players to set up many attacking opportunities.

The first 15 minutes saw a frenetic start to the game with the ball spending more time in the air than on the ground which suited the 'away' team more. However, a break down the right ended with the impressive Rowan Sinclair scoring again from right back as he ensured he worked hard, overlapping his midfielders for most of the match.

The 7ths hit back with a fiercely struck free kick which flashed past Teo Peterson on goal and the opposition defended wave after wave of attacks after the midfield supplied some excellent balls keeping Kyle in goal extremely busy.

In the dying minutes the deadlock was finally broken after a good interchange on the left saw the ball played through for Theo to strike the ball home through a crowd of players to take the points.

It is now into the play-offs with the first game against the fourth placed side in a fortnight, which, unless Holyport beat Claire's Court by nine goals this week, will be..............the 7ths!
