RBC 1 - 0 Piggott

Celebrity mention: Harry Martin - an excellent performance in the centre of defence helping to reduce Piggott to a single shot on goal in the whole game.

A 1-0 score line did not reflect the dominance the U15s showed in this game where Dan Burgess at CDM and the defence limited Piggott's attack to allow our forwards free range to get a huge number of shots in if only one goal in return for their efforts.

0-0 at half-time having played into the wind was probably fair, although Andrew Babcock, who was a constant threat down the right and Sam Hawes, Nick Sandu and Harry Wardle all went close as the Piggott goalkeeper proved to be their outstanding player.

Scintillating football down the right, early in the second half, saw James Hayden, Jack Webb and Ellis Riley combine to give Sam Hawes an easy tap in to round off an outstanding team goal. After that, excellent build up play down both flanks saw chances from 3,5,7 and lots form 15m spurned as they either went over the bar or into the goalkeeper's grasp. There was always the chance that Piggott might score a break away goal but Felix Johnston and Dan Burgess controlled the centre of the pitch to ensure the team kept huge amounts of possession, even if the chances were not going in.

The second excellent performance in a week against a strong Piggott side.
