Venue: at Home

RBC 5 - 1 Salesian

Scorers: Wardle (2) Johnston, Hawes, Webb

Celebrity mention: Ellis Riley for huge industry down the left with, at one point bamboozling the Salesian right back with more step-overs than a young CR7. Also kept the energy down the flank when moved to left back where he overlapped the attackers to provide several opportunities to the onrushing players.

The U15As completed a clean sweep of the week where they have defeated some of the very best local sides to win three out of three.

Without wanting to sound arrogant, this was a routine victory in which the 'enemy' of complacency was dispelled by an excellent opening salvo which culminated with Dan Burgess crossing in for Harry Wardle to head home. Some 'interesting' off-side decisions ensued, including a disallowed goal from an outstanding move but Felix Johnston's long range shot was deflected in before Sam Hawes tapped in after another excellent right hand side attack. Jack Webb made it four, shortly before the break.

Salesian hit back with a long range effort which was out of Joe-T Yates' reach which was a shame, as his burgeoning confidence with the ball at hit feet had helped switch play through the back four and he really deserved a clean sheet. RBC created several more chances with the opposition 'keeper and centre back vying for their man of the match as Ellis Riley's trickery gave Jack and Sam several chances. It was though, Harry Wardle who restored the four goal difference after Dan won the ball after the Salesian keeper parried a shot.

Overall, another very good performance and the willingness to play through the opposition with the ball on the ground not only looked good, but was highly effective as well.
