Match Report
Reading Blue Coat School Boys-U12D vs  Caldicott Preparatory School
On: Saturday, 12 Jan 2019
Venue: Away

Result: Won 4-1

Goal scorers: Thomas Warren, Nathan Coneybeare, Owen Beckett

Man of the Match: Max Barton

Honourable mentions: Nathan Kisaka was rock solid in his defensive duties and Thomas Warren was a real handful up front with his wingman Nathan Coneybeare.

Excellent first outing for the U12D team, with a couple of players already showing the potential to move rapidly up the ranks. Max Barton showed great composure on the ball and distributed it well, and Thomas Warren's pace and direct running meant he manufactured a multitude of scoring opportunities. We did a good job in the middle of the park, and were defensively well organised with Nathan Kisaka always on hand to dispossess any opponent with the audacity to trespass in our half of the pitch. Archie Buekers, Nayan Popat and Aman Hansra never stopped running and created some excellent link up play to supply ball to the strikers. Captain on the day Owen Beckett was everywhere, and claimed a super goal to seal the victory. Nathan Coneybeare produced two fine finishes and moved intelligently to find space up front. Ollie-Bob Ingram spent much of the first half getting cold standing in goal (thanks mainly to Nathan K's dominant defensive display), but was unleashed in a 'free-roaming' role in the second half to good effect. Well done to all the boys - some areas to work on, but a promising start to the season.
