MoM Ollie Bob Thornton for his abrasive work at the breakdown and Dominic Carpenter for his calm and efficient marshalling of the game.

Despite some unforeseen transport shenanigans, the team arrived primed and ready for the off; AGS knew immediately there was no chance of them catching us cold off the bus as we went over for our first try within minutes of starting. Put simply, we were too good for the opposition. Strong and direct running by Sam, Eddie, Patrick and Jaime regularly punctured their defence and good support play ensured points were taken as a result. There were times when the spectators would not have believed this has been a team together for only a few weeks, such was the fluency and accuracy of their interplay; however at times, we allowed AGS back into the game by tackling too high, or forgetting to keep the ball in two hands, leading to promising attacks coming to naught. So, much to be pleased with and much to work on!
