RBCS U12C vs Halliford School U12B

RBCS lost 3-7

Tries: Jaden Appiah (2), Dominic Wynne-Williams (1)

Man of the Match: Anish Chatterjee

A great effort from the U12C team, representing the school for the first time against Halliford's B team. The opposition were deserved winners, but the result should not mask the excellent commitment shown by our boys in what was, for many of them, their first contact rugby match. They should all be proud of their work today, and the experience will serve them well as we continue to develop their skills throughout the season.

Anish Chatterjee played superbly, making innumerable tackles and was more often than not the first man at the scene to help secure possession at the breakdown. Jaden Appiah showed some jinky footwork to score two tries, as well as having the speed to put in a couple of try-saving tackles, and Dom Wynne-Williams took the more direct approach with powerful forward running to score a try direct from receiving a kick-off. All of the boys showed excellent bravery in taking contact and going to ground on what was a very hard playing surface (some rain would certainly be welcome in the coming days...).

Well done to all the players involved. Keep working hard in training and I am sure we will continue to see huge progress from this squad as the term goes on.
