RBCS U15A 27 - 24 AGS

Scorers: Tries- Matthew Crook 2, Matthew Kirk, Jamie Seddon

Cons- Tom Dexter (2) Pens- Tom Dexter

Highlights- Matt Crook- first try- he kicked through, collected brilliantly to score. Matt Kirk- first game of the season finished well with long arcing run from 30m to finish in corner. Harry West and Tom Dexter- Harry and Tom played brilliantly in their new positions and combined well.

Room for improvement- We conceded 3 tries from AGS kick offs/restarts. Attention and commitment to rucks.

MOM - Matthew Crook

The boys played brilliantly in parts today and the back line looked sharp with Tom Dexter playing at scrum half and Harry West at fly half, both new positions for the pair. Man of the match Matthew crook was a threat throughout- yet again scoring with an audacious dummy. Forwards were met by a strong AGS pack who who were meaty morcels and kept possession effectively- it was great to see Callum Perkins returning after injury who had some outstanding ball carries After controlling the first half well and taking are chances we were up 10-0 at break. Our defensive organisation dissolved in second half and we conceded 3 tries off restarts from handling errors. This meant a nervous second half where at times we looked like the Harlem Globe Trotters and at others like Hartlepool Uniteds reserves. Credit to the boys, I hope they take confidence from this into Monday’s cup game against Edgbarrow.
