Match Report
Reading Blue Coat School Boys-U14C vs  St Edward's School, Oxford
On: Tuesday, 13 Nov 2018
Venue: Away

After a short warm up, a stud check, a small team huddle the game kicked off. The first 20 minuets were hotly contested both at the breakdown and in the tackle with Jason Rowley and Adi Pradeep making some textbook tackles on St Edwards faster centers and wingers. During this period of high intensity Zack Hawkes got us out of trouble a couple of times with some 40+ meter runs originating from inside our 22 meter area. The second 10 minuets in the 1st Half didn't quite go our way conceding a try and slipping off a couple of tackles as we fatigued. The half time score 5-0.

The second half started as the first did, with a couple of substitutions bringing energy to the team with Henry Blackham making some thunderous hits on their larger props and hookers. However it was no avail with St Edwards getting over the line another 3 times in the second half. However it was no all doom and gloom with a brilliant try that originated in our 22 Zack Hawkes starting the breakout who then passed, a pass that Michael Jordan would of been proud of to Ollie Bryant who finished off a 90 meter try for our first points on the board.

The game finished 20-5 in favour of St Edwards however it was a brilliant learning curve for the boys and the hard game of rugby was well worth the delicious match tea afterwards.
