The 15B side faced their toughest test of their unbeaten season so far against Hampton who were also unbeaten going into the game. RBC made the stronger start of the two to the game as they pressed well in midfield and pushed the ball into the space behind the Hampton defence well, it was however a cagey start and from both sides. With a goal from open play looking unlikely due to the high standard of structure and defence from both sides, the deadlock was broken by RBC from a corner. Torin whipped in a typically good corner and Henry K timed his run to score with a bullet header.

The game lacked real flow as both teams packed the midfield, though Hampton started to come into the game more and more with some strong runs from their forwards. Nick in goal made an outstanding save from a 1on1 to keep the scoreline as it was. It was RBC who scored next however, this time with the best move of the match. After the ball went out wide to West, he sent it down the channel for Carlos to chase who held it up well and laid it to Dexter at the edge of the box. Dexter with a deft first touch played it into the path of Babcock who without breaking his stride whacked the ball in from the edge of the box. 2-0.

Hampton kept momentum though and started to create more chances, Henry K and Ollie consistently got last ditch tackles in at crucial points whilst Felix and Henry W were disciplined in the middle of the park.

The second half was a build up of Hampton pressure, the threw players forward and created some good chances. The luck seemed to be with the tireless away side who hassled the opponents all match with impressive structure and shape. Everyone came on and played their part which was pleasing. Despite being under constant pressure and not having much of the ball, an air of confidence was growing that they would win in the end. Carlos broke through with minutes to go and before he could shoot was bought down, but no penalty was given. Soon after the game was called and a superb victory was won.

Credit to the boys in what goes down as the highlight of their season, 1 more match to maintain the 100% record!
