Reading Blue Coat School Boys-U13A vs  Reddam House School
On: Tuesday, 25 Sep 2018
Venue: Away

Result - won 112-64

The junior swimming season got off to a healthy start with a 112-64 win at Reddam House. the U13A of Ben, Michael, Nick and Lucas carried on where they left off last year, by winning all their races bar one and added a considerable amount to the overall total. It was also great to see the U13B, who have many ‘home grown’ swimmers who don’t swim at clubs producing some fine performances such as Ollie Matthews and Ashwyn Rupasinha’s breaststroke performances. George Malaperium, Sam Wybrow, Matt Allen, Mattie Roberts and Lenny Berdat also produced excellent performances, particularly in the relays where Etienne Vitart was a revelation in the backstroke in the Medley.

This was also an excellent way for the U12’s to be introduced into school swimming where Zach Majmader, Tom Moorehouse, Alex Harrison and Dominic Wynn - Williams picked up pretty much every second place after the U13A team. Danielle Steele won his race with Dayal Sidhu in 3rd for the U12Bs meaning there is competition for places in the U12 A string which bodes well.

Well done to all who competed, we have another gala coming up on October 11th and we’re looking for any other Year 7s who want to swim but haven’t yet been to practice.
