Match Report
Reading Blue Coat School Boys-U16A vs  City of London Freemen's
On: Wednesday, 26 Sep 2018
Venue: at Home

The U16s learned a brutal lesson in the second half of what had started off as a competitive fixture against a strong City of London Freeman's School.

First half the teams cancelled each other out with a try a piece, with both packs applying concerted pressure and scoring. Barney Thompson crossed the line following successive phases of attacking play. Lessons were not learned as interventions from Max Summers and Tom Watkins were necessary to hold potential tries.

After the break, however, injuries affected game plan and defensive shape. City of London capitalised with try after try, with only Archie Norton's pace out wide stemming a one sided affair.

Toby Hoare and Ollie Bailey fought hard with ball in hand and defence, earning a MoM award between them, however, some reflection will be necessary before we face Aylesbury on Saturday.
