Match Report
Reading Blue Coat School Boys-U15A vs  Shiplake College
On: Saturday, 18 Sep 2021
Venue: Away

Shiplake U15A 17 - 5 RBC

Tries: Kier Jamieson

POTM: Kier Jamieson - a relentless effort at rucks, securing multiple turnovers and an excellent try off the base of the scrum.

The 15As went down to a very competitive Shiplake side, who grew in confidence throughout the game, and were definitely 'up for it!'. A promising start saw Matthew McLachlan, who had his best game to date, carry well into the heart of the Shiplake defence but the backline, characterised by too much sideways running, made the defensive duties for the opposition much easier than it should have been and spilled balls in contact led to two breakaway tries.

Other notable mentions should go again to Laurence Walker who was presented the match ball by the opposition for his work at the ruck and Jaime LLamazares who, on his debut, was our most creative and direct running back.
